Welcome to Yuzawa Akitas

We are a very small kennel located in East Central Illinois dedicated to celebrating and improving the akita breed.   We got involved with akitas when we acquired our pet, Juno, in 2005.  Currently, we consider the conformation ring our primary focus, and we are also active in obedience, rally, agility, and tracking/detection.  All of our dogs have completed AKC's Canine Good Citizen Certification.

 All of our show quality akitas complete OFA Hip, Elbow, and Thyroid evaluations and complete CERF examination prior to any breeding.  Also, all of our akitas are evaluated against the breed standard in the Conformation ring.
